Staff Rules
General Rules for Staff:
There is absolutely no smoking on the campgrounds.
There is absolutely no consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances on campgrounds.
Never leave your campers unsupervised.
No camper or group of campers can be taken out of camp without authorization of the camp director/coordinator.
No counselor may leave camp without clearing it with the camp director/coordinator.
Treat all campers fairly and equally. Make no promises of special favors to any one camper that cannot be granted to all of the campers.
Counselors are encouraged to promote the value of diversity within camp experiences.
General Responsibilities: For All Staff
To help in preparations before the arrival of the campers and cleaning and packing of equipment/supplies at the end of camp.
To cooperate in planning, executing and evaluating the camp program.
To fill in where needed regardless of job assignment when asked to do so by one’s supervisor.
To supervise the general welfare of the campers in terms of safety and medical needs.
To help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the camp area.
To contribute to the best of one’s ability to the achievement of the camp’s goals and objectives.
To model wellness lifestyle behaviors throughout the camp experience.
To sit with the campers at meals and eat the food served.
To maintain high morale, high standards of honesty, loyalty, and cooperation with camp staff and dedication to the overall camp program.
To provide camp spirit and generate enthusiasm among camp participants and staff.
